Back in 2010, Dr. David Johnson President of the Baptist Theological Seminary, and Pastor Charles Lord, Senior Pastor at Royal Palms Baptist Church began a seminary program along with John & Wanne Dina in Mozambique, Africa. The program will take about two years for the local pastors to complete, and once completed they will receive a certificate of graduation from the program. From that point it will up to the local pastors to train the next group of pastors to serve in Mozambique. The local pastors have already been provided with new backpacks, a Portuguese study Bible, along with several other useful materials. During the last session of teaching, Pastor Lord taught an Old Testament Survey while Dr. Johnson did a class on pastoral ministries.
This mission, is to continue that training...
Pastor Tompkins will be teaching the 2nd portion of the Old Testament survey course, while Pastor Butterworth will be teaching the second portion of the pastoral ministries course. Both pastors have written their own material and have 10 days to teach the local pastors to the best of their abilities.
